Experience (XP)
How you earn XP and what your rank means.
Experience points (XP) measure how much you've done on X Captain. Your total is shown in the dashboard header:
12,450xp
Earning XP
| Source | XP |
|---|---|
| Any flight | 100 base |
| Landing bonus | up to +400 more, depending on your score |
| Achievement | 1,000 per achievement unlocked |
The landing bonus grows faster at the top end of the scale. A 10/10 landing earns the full +400. A 5/10 landing earns about +140.
Ranks
| Rank | XP needed |
|---|---|
| Cadet | 0 |
| First Officer | 10,000 |
| Captain | 50,000 |
| Senior Captain | 200,000 |
Ranks show your progress but don't unlock anything on their own. Some features need a minimum amount of XP, though. For example, you need some XP to create a flight club or operator.
